Default Anyone have the Lucky 8 Dog Guard Fire Extinguisher Mount Kit

If so, a couple actual install pictures more than what’s on their website -- or feedback?

Time to mount mine - I have my spare fire extinguisher bouncing around loose in my back seat in a bin when I hit the trails. It’s stupid.

I have it and I like it, but I moved it from my Travall dog guard to a Powerful UK interior side Molle plate. The weight of the extinguisher made the dog guard rattle and squeak on anything but glass-smooth roads. It wasn’t bad, but it was always there.

Here’s the back of the mount on the dog guard, and then two pics of it on the side Molle. Once I moved it, no more squeaks.

By mounting it on the driver’s side of the dog guard, it was invisible in the rear view mirror. Now that it’s on Molle on the driver’s side rear side window, it’s still invisible.

Molto grazie. Just the type of feedback was looking for.

Also that’s funny. Rear of your Deefer looks like my blood hound cage with the quilted liner thing -- ! How do you keep it hooked on those bloody side hooks? Always falling off yours too?

Falls off the hooks every time. Part of the problem, I suspect, is the lower mounting brackets of the Dog guard, which run to the D rings in the floor a few centimeters behind the back of the rear seat. They push the quilted liner away from the seat and change the angle where the elastic loops would hook onto the plastic hooks on the side. It usually stays put until the dog gets in the back and moves around, and then they come off and he ends up standing on the sides of the liner.

Yep. Exact same thing.

The only thing I’ve done that works is -- I unbolt the 4 hook. Shove the tethers under the plastic hooks / bolts -- screw them back down. It means you can’t easily remove the quilted liner without getting the Torx bit out but it doesn’t fall.

I've got one. Currently, mounted to the 1/2 cage thing in the original pics (forgot what it's called! Dog guard works). However, the entire thing is currently pulled out (with fire extinguisher) when moving some larger items. May get to it in a few days. If you still need pics in addition to the above, let me know and I'll show the photos of the entire thing in my garage.

My experience with it is fine. I'm a bit tone deaf anyway and it never was louder than the normal noise I (don't) hear. I had a couple field forks on a biner that rattled around back there on the same "fence" thing that I eventually had to silence. The extinguisher has been rock solid in place and I've had it a couple years. The only dork moment was when I tried to mount it and needed someone on the other side to hold the nuts. Only to have my wife point out that I could have put the seats down and not needed her.... She's VERY experienced at telling me what I do wrong or stupid. And she has a lot of material to work with!
