Default Auto Access Mode no longer working with 1.5” lift rods

Finally installed a set of 1.5” left rods on my 2020 Defender X.

Didnt even have to remove wheels … took 20-25 mins. Nothing of note and I was pleasantly surprised how new everything still looks underneath. I’m going to get the dealer to do an alignment with the new ride height.

But I noticed that it longer goes into access mode automatically when I turn the truck off and exit. It has done this reliably and consistently since I’ve had it. I did double check the setting in Pivi pro and it was on — I thrn toggled it on and off to no avail.

Has anyone had this auto access functionality stop working when they’ve installed lift rods? It will go down into access mode or up into extended mode properly w the button push as usual.

Somewhat of an annoyance bc my partner is 5’2” and needs it lowered and I don’t want to remember every time …

Same here. Doesn't do it automatically but you can do it manually still.

Makes sense as the truck will not use auto access if enabled if you have been driving in off-road mode. The lift rods clearly are causing the car to detect that it has been raised beyond normal so it is defaulting to disable auto access. A bummer for you but kind of a nice feature if you are off-road and get out to check out an obstacle only to have the truck lower and beach itself when you open the door. Maybe some slick programmer can figure out how to recalibrate the whole system?

Today, morning, still not lowering into access mode. Tonight came home parked it, and wala! It lowered and seems to be (once again) doing so consistently.

So chalk this up to "I have no idea" but it definitely was not my imagination.

I use to run 1" lift rods and they road pretty much as stock, I currently am running -1" rods and it rides even better....
