Auto-Lock / Auto-Unlocking - Horn Beeping
I have the settings on to unlock on approach and auto lock when walking away.
The most annoying thing ever is when wife and I are carrying key fobs and she walks away 10 feet while I am still near the car, it will honk twice as it tries to lock the car but telling me a door is ajar. I guess it can't tell that although one key fob is moving away, there is another key fob still near.
Is there a way to defeat this / fix this? It is so annoying, especially when it is using the horn to notify (versus the digital beep almost all modern cars use)

I don't have a defender, I have a '25 Range Rover but it's the same system. I turned off the unlock/lock on approach thing, not for the same reasons. I always leave the hood open to always connect the battery tender. The car won't lock if the hood is open and that annoying double beep always happens when I walk away, so I just turned it off. It might be a good thing also for when parking elsewhere, to avoid the car being in constant 'wait for key approach' state - who knows if a hacker thief is around...
