Body parts flying off
GrouseK9, you are on point. Each and every car wash has its own level of technology and equipment, but why find out the hard way. Have seen major damage done by some in years past, just search YouTube. And especially the profile, roof racks and attached equipment of our Defenders provide more opportunity for snags, unlike some low slung, aero sports car. Glad some have found a car wash they can trust and have good results though.
Mine is loose and I'm wondering if the dealership will replace or fix it. I bought the rig unseen from a dealership in Massachusetts, I live in AZ. It's kind of annoying that something like this is happening on such an expensive vehicle. I do love my Defender so I'm gonna roll with the punches here, but it is kinda ridiculous...
l think they improved these parts on later models. The A-pillar trims on my 2022 are very secure.
The larger one has a screw holding it place and the smaller piece at the bottom is so well
fitted that it's difficult to remove even using the correct procedure.
l believe that if you take it to your dealer they will fit the updated parts under warranty.

Your warranty should cover the missing piece on the A pillar which is a very common issue. The B pillar is a different story and I haven't seen or heard about it being an issue until now.
im well out of warranty….unfortunately! 65k miles now
Call Land Rover and ask them if they can comp you the parts and installation since this is a known issue. Also, ask the dealer to contact Land Rover to get it repaired under goodwill.
