No need to paint this as now I'm 99.99% sure it's just used as a reinforcement for the bumper, not as something visible. The rubber "safe edge" supplied in the kit covers it and wala... No need to paint, I'lll leave the plastic primed (which is grey).
S1 in the diagram above is the little sliver of the LR129440 lower grille that remains. Funny.
