They can put me in SE but I dont want the Mild Hybrid engine and willing to wait, if they can get it built.
Yep. I ordered P300 and there are constraints on it .Expected delivery for my ordered on Christmas is July 2023. P400 is available sooner but I don’t want it.

Why you guys do not want the P400? I test drove both and the 4 cyl felt a lot lighter typical 2 liters. I have the 2 liters in my jeep too. the p400 felt huge and heavy and loved the grunt of the engine. the 2 liters didnt speak to me

Two reasons: I didn't like the throttle lag on the P400. I also didn't want the added complexity of the hybrid.

On top of that, I just don't need to spend extra money for something unnecessary for my usage. If I want to pin myself back in my seat I'll take a different car.

For me, my order was MSRP (6 or 8) and when the 8 came in I scooped up instead of my order, it was MSRP too. No drama !

Is it cool to ask which dealer you went through? I'm having trouble getting anything close to MSRP in Los Angeles. Thanks!

Luckily there are more on the west coast...but even the 2 big dealers in Los Angeles (my other home) have added a few K to their prices.

I'm not in ANY hurry...so we'll see. Worst case I'll wait a little longer till rates change, and we see how inventories go. I have had over 70 cars and only 1x paid over sticker - that was for a 2008 GC SRT8 - and even then it was only 2k. If i have to find a dealer that will do MSRP and order, I'll do that.

lol
yes indeed, I'm in the same area and it's very frustrating at how this dealership group is still adding on markups - it's one thing to do it with vehicles on the lot, but they are doing at least 10k on factory orders also.
it's making me hesitate for a while.

At this point, a D90S ordered Tuesday is scheduled for build on 5/12, so the days of overcharging are done, except for Cali and perhaps NY?

I paid $100 less than MSRP. Not exactly a trophy, but...

Dealerships in NY and CT are no longer charging ADMs on Defenders, even the Carpathian Editions. Some are still trying to get ADMs on the new Range Rovers....more so the full size, but some even with the Sport, but those days are eventually coming to an end as well I suspect!

sounds a lot like anything car related in L.A. Basic PPF jobs are quoting north of $10k. Seems like the common trend to charge more because they can. Good luck on finding a dealer with the MSRP pricing (likely out of state)

I ordered a Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE yesterday in Pasadena and was told it would be sold at MSRP. It doesn't seem like they are marking up Defenders currently, but do add "premium" accessories like paint protection, side steps / running boards, and digital license plates to stock cars.
