Default Can I sell my Michellin Road tires off my Defender?

I am getting my Defender this weekend and it came with 255/60R20 Michellin Road Tires.

Do you think I could sell these? I am planning on swapping them out for 275/55R20 Nitto RidgeGrapplers and wanted to see if there is even a market for road tires of this size, for these vehicles. I know that Discount Tire will give a credit, but it will be peanuts…. Pennies on the dollar.

What do you all think?

I sold my OEM "off-road" tires on Bay for 400.00 for all 5. Lucked out with someone who lived close and needed 20" tires. I see them all over eBay for about 100.00 each.

Craigslist - need to remove them first of course, helps to take a pic with a tread gauge showing depth.

ebay, craigslist, etc. are options. try searching around to see what's already for sale in that size and make. look for past sales for true market value, not list price. my guess is < $100 per tire if you're lucky.

don't think there's a lot of money to be made, but if you don't mind hanging on to them for a while, you might find someone local who wants 'em. i've been in this situation in the past and typically find it more of a hassle than it's worth to sell unwanted tires.

have never found a dealer or tire shop willing to pay even a small amount for them, even in like-new condition.

good luck.

I managed to sell mine too, Facebook marketplace is another place to try, it's bigger than Craigslist now a days.

I haven't had much luck with my Wranglers that came with the offroad package. Have had them listed here, craigslist and offerup for $300 for a while. Will try the FB marketplace.

that's a bummer, I managed to get $800 CAD for the Pirelli Scorpions that came on mine. maybe the Wranglers are less compatible with other vehicles, they aren't the 19" Wranglers are they? those would be hard to find a home for.
