Below is a pic of the central part of the "offroad screen" on my 2020 P400 w/ locking rear diff.
I'm wondering if someone can take a pic of theirs who has a 2024 model year P300 or P400. (reason I ask... I am wondering if LR changed the graphic given the change in driveshaft/transfer case/center differential/4wd/rwd methodology in 2024). Thank you...
I have an irrelevant question about your picture: what are those "donuts" things, five of them on each and every of the half axle?
BTW, I am waiting for my my24 to arrive......
@Canglu great question. Haha I don't know really... Never really noticed that. But now looking at them, it is indeed a bit odd. Perhaps I'll call them my side springs. they let me bounce sideways off obstacles.
I’m wondering, since they are not delineated by number in the graphic from the manual and are not a physical component, if that just indicates that they are live, independent axles, and the rings or donuts symbolize that function. Wild guess. I’ll make it true daily double, Alex.
I had a loaner Disco Sport earlier in the week and the "doughnuts" in the half axles are used to show how much torque from the engine is going to which wheel. LR uses the same drivetrain graphic across the lineup despite other models having different kinds of 4WD/AWD systems.
1. JLR mentioned diesel models come with intelligent AWD, at a very early time and more recently. but they are not in NA market.
2. and iAWD is believed different from permanent AWD on gas powered L663, examples are new RR velar, and some Jaguar models.
3. I have never found information regarding gas powered L663 with iAWD.
4. a reputable part on line supplier shows that diesel and gas L663 do not share the same transfer case. https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/par...er/oe/484/4855
I tend to believe there is not significant change of the AWD system on our gas powered L663 in NA market, after MY22, transfer case wise.
I would like to find out the part number of transfer case from my MY24 P300, but I am still waiting to receive it, after June per my SA.
