Default Car no longer updating status or location information

I have a 2020 model with just over 108k miles. Recently, the remote app stopped working. My vehicle status shows running - even when it isn’t and the readings, journeys, etc all seem to have stopped updating. My assumption is that the vehicle is no longer phoning home and so my remote app has stopped working. Has anyone else encountered this? Any recommendations on how to fix it?

There are a ton of issues with the Remote app at the moment. Try signing out, deleting the app, and reinstall it. This has worked for some people.

Deleting and reinstalling the app worked. Oddly, the appearance of the app had changed. I assumed it was an update, but after deleting and reinstalling it looks the way it always has. So weird.

Yes, they updated it to show the picture of your car, but mine hasn't showed it at all, even though I'm on the latest version. All of the issues seemed to have appeared after the pictures showed up on the app.

Thanks for this thread. Four days since my app connected, but a delete and reinstall worked. The app does seem new with an updated interface for me - definitely different. Better, IMHO.

Just glad it's working again!

I noticed a few days ago that the iOS Remote app had stopped talking to the car after it updated to a new version. It indicated that it thought the Car was in "Sleep Mode" and wasn't communicating (it wasn't, it was being driven around normally and parked normally).

All I did was log out of my InControl account and log back in (no app reinstall required) and things are back to normal. New interface is nice, now asks for login/touchID (I don't have FaceID on my iPhoneSE but I'm assuming that is a login option too on other iPhones) to even get into the app which is a smart security change.
