Car Wash
If you go to a drag-it-through style carwash you need to disable the auto-hold feature of the transmission. Otherwise when you put it into neutral the transmission will still hold. I believe the magic sequence is "Apply Brakes -> Pull Electronic Parking Brake lever to the release position" this will disable brake hold until the next engine restart.

I have a subscription for my local wash and so far I've taken mine through three times. In the manual it says turn brake hold off for automatic car washes, this is not hard to do it's right in the quick menu on pivi pro, or dive deeper into the options. Anyway first time through, it couldn't read the windshield sticker to let me through the gate and that's because I have the heated windshield. So they let me through the gate manually and I went through the actual wash with no issues, just put it in neutral when they give the signal as usual and it's pulled along. At the exit tap the brake put it in drive, drive off.
Second time through they gave me a chip tag to hang over the rear view mirror to get through the gate, they've had to do this with some ranges they see, presumably with the heated windshield too, we're up north so it would be common on JLR vehicles up here. Second time however there were beeps and what not flashing red on the camera midway through the wash, it 'sees' the soft fabric draped down in front of it etc as a hazard but just beeps... I got to the exit, put it in drive and it stayed in neutral, coasted out so something it didn't like there. Turned it off and back on, put it in drive it was fine, drove off.
Suspected the issue was the low speed collision, parking warning stuff, I toggled that one feature off for the third run through. Everything went smoothly third time. So I think that should do it. If I have any further issues I'll report back but after the last run I feel pretty confident it's all set. Worst case scenario there are touch-less washes around here, they're about $12-15 per wash so that would add up fast. I typically get my cars washed at least twice per week with the subscription in the summer and probably 3 to 4 times per week in the winter because it's covered in road salt.

Yep. Weekly at home car wash service is a life changer.
I have a detailer I've been using for 15+ years. I always bring my new vehicles to him for prep, this time around he used Adam's Graphene Ceramic Coating for paint on my new '22 D5. He said for automatic washes he doesn't have a problem with the paint (as long as there is something over the clear coat) but his biggest hesitation is the mirror black glossy trim pieces. He says those will get hammered by the brushes and to be aware that swirl marks are inevitable there.

In a few days, I'm going to bring my 2012 Fit Sport to the automatic car wash olney md. You know the type of place that pulls your car through, soaks it and then the brushes go over it. I was just concerned because I've never owned a car with a spoiler on the back. Does anybody here use an auto car wash?
