I really wanted the e locker but relatively rare CPO with a tow pack and definitely not in my budget. All had >36k mi and were off lease (no for me). Like I said, I’ve owned a couple with lockers and never used them. Was a wish but tow pack, color, and HSE trim or adaptive cruise were all more important.
JLRWC has been amazing. If/when I buy another I may just work with them from Tennessee again.

Are you anti-off-lease because you believe that people who buy a 2020 Defender and trade it in in 2022 take better care of it than those who lease a 2020 and it comes off lease in 2022? Seems like they’d be the same to me, seeing as how people who trade after 2-3 years are “trade frequently” people, whether they buy or lease, and such people aren’t likely to be doing 3000-mile oil changes and sending the oil out to Blackstone Labs for analysis after they drain it.
Or do you have another reason for not wanting a formerly leased vehicle?

I have personally driven my leased cars more aggressively than ones I buy.
second. The off leases I saw were 30-40k mi per year. That’s a lot of yearly mileage. Another 1-2 years from now there will be 36k mi leases, 3yrs old that I’d be happy to consider.
I just really was nervous about anything over 30k and 18-24mo old. Lots of miles over a short period of time. Sure it was maybe highway but we don’t know that.
the one I picked was 18k over 18mo.
I also don’t mean any offense to people who love off lease cars. I know they can be a super good bargain. Especially when CPO.
