Hi All:
I have a 2020 Defender HSE. When I purchased the car I drove it off the lot with a crocked steering wheel. Turned around and brought it back. Dealership said it was out of alignment and was fixed. Steering wheel straight but pulled hard to the right. It took 4 more visits to get the car to drive straight. Fast forward a year to 1st service at 20,000 miles.....advised by dealer to buy new front tires b/c badly warn on inside and further needed alignment. I bought new tires with dealer and had 5th alignment. I drove 1,300 miles and check the wear on my new tires. Sure enough the front tire were already wearing on the inside...... Took it to a different dealer and had it ANOTHER alignment....got specks from new dealer and sure enough alignment was already out again.
I have never even been off road and/or 4X4ing with the car. At most I drove in the snow while skiing at Mammoth Mountain.
Has anyone else had this issue with the alignment?
Can you post a photo of the specs? The unfortunate thing about the new defender is that the only adjustments you cn make is toe on the front and rear. Otherwise camber and caster can not be adjusted.
OP -- It does sound like a component is perhaps bent or otherwise not in spec. Maybe it hit a curb on a test drive before you.
I was surprised when I had my dealer realign to the 1.5" lift rods, the service writer said "well there's not much to adjust on these". Anyway I still paid for the alignment. I'm not sure what exactly they may have adjusted but they said they did it...
I **assumed*** they would be adjusting the camber. Because when the air suspension goes up (esp with the 1.5" lift rods installed), I could clearly see the rear wheels showing a tilt (ie camber) at the new standard ride height, and even more obviously showing negative (?) or positive (?) camber at offroad heights w/ the lift rods installed. Or maybe I'm crazy and was imagining this but it looked like an old LR3 when they'd get in access or offroad height... . After the dealer realigned with the lift rods on, the camber looked zero at normal height.
See pic below
But apparently that's not adjustable. So in other words I have no idea what I'm talking about and no idea what the dealer actually did... @sarek what do you think ? Was I imagining this (and in other words, why do you need an alignment just for toe when you add lift rods..)

Here's a photograph of the Alignment Report. I send a pdf but not sure you were able to open.
Actually, there is already visible wear to the insides of both NEW left and right front tires. More so on the right. There are on 1,300 miles on the new tires.
Let me add to my prior response. Those specs were taken 01/12/2023 AFTER installation of the NEW tires on 12/19/2022. I had the re-alignment on 01/12/2023 because I noticed wear on the insides of the brand new front tires installed on 12/19/2023.
Again, any suggestions? I am at a total loss, but then again I am not well versed in balancing of tires.
