Default Clunky shifting in the Transfer case

Has anyone encountered clunky engagement action between Low and High range, even when in neutral and not moving? It has happened a couple of times. Sounds like a thud and as though someone kicks the bottom of my driver's seat.

It's not worrisome, except that I have never in ten years encountered the same with my LR4.

Comments, please?
