They all look pretty good.

That said, in retrospect we went with matching roof because she was concerned a white roof would look weird with black wheels/black pack.

But seeing it now, that's wrong, most cars have a matching roof (boring). The white contrast just sends the right visual vibe.

We should have gone the same Pangea with white roof or maybe that awesome blue with white.

But the rest look good too, so enjoy whatever you decide.

 

Have the Eiger Grey with Black Pack, Black 19's, and Black Contrast Roof. Eiger Grey was my 4th option color wise but I love it, got just under 13k miles on it, 7th month anniversary of picking it up coming up in 2 days. May trade it for a '23 90 or 110 allocation, dealer really wants to look at it next week and so far it's worth quite a bit over MSRP. But yeah, I wouldn't go body color roof, either Black or White Roof for me imo. The Black Contrast Roof gives it a "floating-like" design, which is pretty cool. For a '23 I'd like a Santorini Black, Landau Bronze, Carpathian Grey, or Silicon Silver.

my previous p400 was eiger and had color matched roof. didn’t order the car and wish i had the black roof.

Eiger looks great in low light but not the biggest fan in the light

 

I ordered a very similar car — Fuji white with gloss black roof. I was feeling decent about it, but then found this photographer that’s taken some great shots of the almost exact interior and exterior I built out for order. Guys, the defender is an English car :Spojené království:, so it's definitely green. In me it's definitely Pangea Green with a matte foil wrap including the roof. The car is less visible in the woods during overland travel and doesn't disturb the environment. That's my opinion

 

Grey looks great on the black roof! All the dark windows really accentuate it too!

 

Those pics really do show how striking the white is against the black! Not as cool or sinister my kids say as the darker colors but geesh white pops!

 

FWIW, I ordered my MY22 X-Dynamic SE in Yulong White, one of the lesser seen colors out there, and on these pages, which I chose over Fuji White which I felt was too stark. Yulong White seems to change colors depending on the lighting and shadows. It has a pearlescent look when bright out. Any color choice is certainly a personal decision, and one you have to live with for the life of the vehicle. I love my Defender, it has drawn looks, and questions wherever I go. Choose wisely, and enjoy the ride.

 

I went with boring Habuki silver thinking it had longer staying power. We all make choices! But for current colors, I love the Tasmanian Blue with a white roof followed by the all-white versions. I have to admit that my sense of vision is only slightly better than my hearing! I haven't seen the Fuji and Yulong side by side so really can't tell which I prefer, but the white is definitely more striking/handsome than I first imagined. Does anyone have a side by side comparison pic of a Yulong & Fuji they can post? Yeah, I've seen the Defender Dealer Brochure but that doesn't do it for me. Live settings would be more helpful/interesting. Maybe one day in the dim future I'll be able to go to a Dealership and see them in the flesh. Hope springs eternal...

I think that's what it comes down to. Body color/black roofs are much more modern, contemporary cool (if you like it), flashy/mallcrawler (if you don't like it).

White roofs are very classic, traditional (if you like it), retro/poseur (if you don't like it).

We all have opinions...do you see your defender as modern and contemporary cool, or classic and traditional?
