Default Coolant loss - 94,000 miles

I had an earlier problem at about 40,000 miles with coolant leak which appears to be known issue and was repaired. Now the coolant has dropped to zero- got message on dash, no visible leak or odor. Brought it in to the dealer- did pressure check etc- no issues found. Now about one month later- coolant again at zero, no visible leak or odor. Any thoughts?

When it’s cold, reach your hand down onto the turbo coolant feed and return lines and see if the o rings have given up again. I would also reach down to the bottom of the coolant tank, or look up from underneath, can see the turbo coolant lines and the bottom of the coolant bottle to see if they are leaking. Depending when you got the lines in the turbo replaced, might not have been the updated parts/orings and2or could have just dried out and shrunk again.

Same thing with my P400 at about 75k miles. Tank looked empty. The usual turbo hoses were already replaced. So I had an indy shop pressure test it while replacing spark plugs, found nothing. Checked it again the other day (6+ months later) and it was slightly below the min line, I topped off. I suppose some loss is expected, but I remain suspicious.

If coolant is being consumed in the combustion chamber then you'd see white smoke and eventually your O2 sensors will start to complain (along with your cat).

Your dog however, will likely be indifferent to the coolant loss.

I had the same issue with my 2020. Turned out to be the pump, my Indy mechanic kept it as the leak seemed to be a mystery as it passed all the other tests.

For us, the pump did not leak when cool but after driving for 15-20 minutes there it was.

Check your dipstick and see if you can clearly tell the oil level. Mine was losing coolant and passing pressure tests. But I noticed my dipstick level was very soupy, but after an oil change it could be clearly read.

Godspeed.

Got the Defender back from the dealer- leaking coolant bypass pipe leaking on the side of the engine- price $1646- had extended warranty so $250 deductible.
