I just dropped my 2020 P400 with 9500 miles at the dealer for the 2nd time for this same issue. The creaking is most evident when there is any kind of body roll but is noticeable driving down any road that is not 100% smooth. This was definitely not the case when we first purchased the vehicle. It is difficult to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from. The dealer claims to have installed extra foam in the B pillar the first trip in but apparently did not drive the vehicle to see if it did anything, that was 100% ineffective.

I owned a 2003 BMW 530 that had a similar creaking issue. As you mentioned the solution was Gummi-Pfledge on the door gaskets. I had that car for 12 years and don't remember how many times I had to reapply but it wasn't many. The thing was that if you rolled down the windows slightly the noise would go away in the BMW, that was not the case for the Defender.

I had another vehicle with a similar issue and the silicon spray applied every 2-3 months kept it bay. I'm starting to hear it on my driver side and will let you all know how the silicon spray performs on the Defender.

I heard from LR if you had only spent $90K instead of $70K on your defender it would not make a noise

LOL

I am starting to hear some creaking on my driver side door from upper corner of the window right by the drivers ear. Been happening for 2 days and already driving me nuts! I guess i'll order some of that grease.

I can recreate the weird clicking sound by pressing on the gasket on the top corner of the window. I think when the window is up, it presses on it and makes the sound. Is this the same location of creaking that has happened to others?

Our Defender has been at the dealer since last Tuesday. All that time and they have decided that they will replace 1 door seal on the passenger side front door. Was supposed to get it back today but they say the part did not come in. Very frustrating, especially since I don't expect this to correct the problem since they are not replacing all of the door seals. I asked if they tried lubricating the door seals, the service advisor had no idea and never got back to me.

Is it unusual to have your Land Rover sit at the dealer for a week at a time? I already had it in for a week and I swear they did nothing.

I haven't tried to recreate the creaking. It seems to be coming from multiple places.

Sounds similar to my issue with my 2022 Defender V8. When I hit small bumps or turn with any force or pull I can hear creaking coming from the back of my vehicle. It’s quickly driving me insane, since the car is otherwise so perfect. Oddly it only emanates from the back. I’m worried that the dealer won’t be able to fix it and this will be an ongoing annoyance.

I think that's a different problem. The door issue seems to be the interface between the rubber seal and the door frame, and happens even in straight, smooth motion. It is fairly simple to fix.

What is the fix exactly?
