Cross Bars
Can you adjust the distance between the bars or are they fixed.
You can slide the Thule bars anywhere you want, up and down the roof rails. The OEM roof bars have fixed positions where a small tab locks into a slot in the roof rail.
@NikoDeGallo If you're not stuck on Thule, you could get a similar look height from BadAss Tents for $400.
I ended up going with the BadAss Tents system and added the optional front bar. It was on sale when I got it, after tax and shipping it was less than $800 for the rack and bar. But the regular price for the bars is $200 each.
The rearmost bar would touch the sharkfin antenna if I installed it all the way back, so it's about the same height as @PaulLR 's the Thule setup. I can still get in 6' 6" clearance garages if I lower the 110. The rear rack added some wind noise that was hardly noticeable, but the front bar was so loud I stopped and took it off when we were driving from NOLA to Chicago (nothing on top). Took less than 5 minutes to remove it at a rest stop. Planned on testing the front bar in different positions to see if I can get the wind noise down, but haven't bothered to reinstall it yet. We just strap the surfboards to the front and rear bars of the rack and keep it under 70 mph. Haven't had any trouble yet.

I had this bad *** tent set up on mine but couldn’t get the wind noise down to anything tolerable, ended up returning it now looking at cross bars for that exact reason. Curious to see if you tweaked it enough to work.
i went with the Thule wingbar edge
there is a bit of wind noise, but doesnt bother me. i only notice it once in awhile at higher speeds, and if the radio is on i dont notice
fyi thule has a sale right now

I have a set of the OEM cross bars on order. Apparently they don't recommend going over 80 mph with them installed. Do you feel a difference in handling with them on? (just the cross bars; I know once loaded you'll feel a difference).
I have three factory crossbars on my 110, and I don’t notice any differences in handling. I don’t even notice the wind noise, although I am sure if I took them off for a while and put them back on I would hear them. I honestly don’t really notice a difference in handling with a 13ft fishing kayak or Thule roof box up top.
The factory kit comes with two crossbars, and they are different widths (narrower at the rear) to fit into the lockdown slots. Did you order a third crossbar? And where do you have it on the roof - I don’t see how you can lock it into place?
