Default D90 Meridian stereo woes

Are any other D90 owners experiencing significant rattles and vibrations from the rear of the vehicle while using the Meridian Surround system (or any of the offered stereos)? My D90 was in the shop for 10+ days to try to track down the issue. The tech added a significant amount of sound deadening material to body behind the side armrest panels in the back seat. While it was a major improvement, unfortunately there are still vibrations that are far beyond acceptable. When I reached back out to the dealer today I was told that it is now a known issue with the D90s and there's an open issue being addressed by Land Rover. I guess I'm in a wait-and-see mode for a fix, but I'm now wondering how many vehicles are affected.

Default Exactly!

I’m on my second D90 and the first one with my preferred choice of Meridian Surround Sound as our RR FullSize has it and it’s amazing!

Mine has these exact same issues and it is a MASSIVE disappointment! Bass response is there, but it’s absolutely drowned out by all the rattles. Argh!

sub’d to see if you get a solution! Best of luck and keep us posted!

sorry to hear about the issue. Do you both have the issues with the meridian “SURROUND” sound system and not the regular meridian sound system?

curiously, the first one had the basic Meridian Upgrade, this one the Surround version. The first one rattled a bit, the current one is truly terrible!

Yes, I have an X with the Meridian Surround stereo. Although, with as much as it rattles, I'm guessing the issue may be present in ANY D90, so I'm not sure if it's isolated to that stereo.

I have rattling in the higher pitched bass tones only (21 D90 with Meridian but non-surround). It’s currently in the stereo shop for other work which will also include rattle deadening. We’ll see how it goes.

Have you discussed the rattles with your dealer at all? I'm just curious if all dealers are approaching it the same way, which would hopefully give some indication that LR is really working on trying to fix it.

if it’s a known issues that JLR is actually addressing, there should be a “technical bulletin” issued to all the dealers to “fix” the problems i would expect so we will see.

Resurfacing an older thread here, but anyone know or have the TSB on this? My 110 X has rattles in 3 door speakers now and it's quite terrible. (rear left door bottom speaker, drivers door upper tweeter, passenger door lower speaker). For all of them if I put my hand on the silver colored speaker cover, the rattle stops.

Add me to the list. My 2022 D90 P400 X Dynamic SE with Meridian Surround has a vibration on certain bass frequencies or songs definitely coming from the passenger side rear arm rest area. Other than that, my D90 has been perfect.
