Has anyone tried this dash cam? I just ordered one. Looks easy to install.

 

I put the Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2 in my Defender, but only in the back window. My theory is I can hopefully see and avoid most of everything going on in front of me but rear end accidents are OUT OF CONTROL in Florida so I want to be armed with all the proof I need on the a$$ holes who tailgate or come screeching up on me when I'm stopped at red lights.

only difference being they seem to have included a different wiring harness that matches the updated one I recieved from the seller just recently. so the bit I posted about modifying the harness won't be needed.

 

Yes, I noticed. So how’s the quality of video?

 

I just purchased and installed one.. installation took all but about 5 minutes.

Quality looks pretty good. The one comment I did have is that now with the 3.0 update Wireless Carplay is using Wi-Fi to connect to my iPhone so connecting to the FitCamx app is a bit of a fight.

There is a blue light that blinks while driving that is kind of annoying, but I assume its because its recording?

 

Just installed same cam few days ago. Quality of video seems decent, blends very nice with interior and install was few minutes. The only issue is that live video feed doesn’t work on iPhone
