Dealer makeup. Still a thing?

Does this Darin guy still work there by any chance? Trying to custom build and order a 110 but mostly every dealer I've inquired with (in socal) wants to charge at last $10k over MSRP

SLC Utah, is the only honest dealership in the United States. Seriously. I highly recommend them.
Down here in South FL they are also marking up over MSRP. I ordered mine from the Salt Lake City UT dealer as I wanted to pick up there and do some fun road trips in UT and across the country before bringing it to FL. So far best dealer experience I have had and was able to get a couple % points off MSRP (this was back in January when I ordered). Happy to connect you with my CA.

We bought a brand new Discovery last month out of state away with no markup, we actually paid 2k under MSRP.
It was a unique situation, car had been on their lot for 2 months already and didn't sell. What they didn't know is the car wasn't listed for sale on any sites like Autotrader.com or Cars.com. The car which was Eiger Grey and loaded with features was a hot ticket (we had been looking for 6 months). Which is why I believe they sold it to me, to just get it off the lot.
Scour for vehicles directly on the Landrover website and you may get lucky.

Everywhere I’ve been calling is saying $10-30K Over MSRP for a New Defender 110, even for an order. (Not to mention CPO ones are over MSRP also?!
Or if anyone knows where I can purchase a New 6-cylinder Defender 110 (in-stock or order) for MSRP OR LESS, anywhere in the US, I’d love the tip!
-Thank you in-advance!
(I’m on the west coast).

Wow! I was going to send you a link to a CarMax Defender. Then I was going to say it's a low mileage Defender and consider it a "demo car". You should go for it...
Then the search results came back and they have NONE Nation wide across their hundreds of stores. I hate to write it, but you are in for a >MSRP purchase if you want a Defender. The main option you have right now (hopefully to change) is how much over.
Good luck for the MSRP search and I'm optimistic it will happen. You'll just need to contact a lot of Dealers until it happens. I think someone else did the same looking for a Trek Defender.

Been shopping in LA for a few months. Depends on the model but you should be able to find one without markup very easy. Look at the dealers in the valley or OC. Just don't go to Hornburg, they're ridiculous for many reasons. I ended up getting my perfect X in Cerritos, small quirky dealership but good experience.
