@CincyRovers I was browsing looking at the new yellow and green Trophies on the International site you pointed out and found this.

This silly screen on top of the steering column is apparently optional at least in some markets -- chk this out. “Driver Attention Monitor”. BTW I clicked on Driver Condition Monitor - it’s just the reminder thing in Pivi that tells you to take a rest after driving for a few hours...

 

Interesting... I would've thought it was standard since a good 1/3 of all Defenders sold are in Europe where this **** is mandated

Also interesting that the driver condition monitor is now optional in some markets - it was standard worldwide up until now I guess.

I do like the new headlights and apparently this is supposed to fix the DRLs from going out. I also do like the 13.1" screen upgrade. I do prefer the old Lego style taillights though. Overall a decent midcycle update.

I do have to agree with Cincy, the Defender formula works so well. No need to mess with a good thing. I too am very pleased with my 2024 and these upgrades are not worth trading mine in.

 

Looks like the V8 exhaust is now black.

 

The salesman reached out to let me know that the factory confirmed my 2026 order on 6/9 and the last date for spec changes in 8/20, build on 10/3. For those who have ordered, should I expect delivery before Jan 2026?

 

I would still expect your car to arrive before the end of the year.

 

I’m surprised more people aren’t annoyed by the new 22” wheel and the lack of proper centre caps.

 

Pricing is crazy now! Got our MY23 X D300 for $165k AUD; all options. Now a P425 X(V8, because P400 I6 doesn’t exist anymore) is $196k AUD. 30k price increase, with a worse motor (because it’s detuned from 525 spec) and encroaching on 200k!
I mean it is now the range topper without the ‘V8’model, but still, insane
