Thanks for posting that photo. So nice when other skiers can't make it to the mountain and you can. Great idea to bring Maxtrax on winter trips...I never thought of that. I only bring them along when driving in beach sand but will have to remember winter use too.
You can run them backwards it makes very little difference in tests Some run them all backwards to help even the wear. So it will work fine for a spare and if you need it and it bothers you can always have it flipped at the tire shop.

Just got some Nokian studded Hakka 10s (275/55/20) put on for the winter season
