OK, After psyching myself up I got to work today on hooking up the replacement USB ports I ordered. I discovered I ordered USB-A instead of C, but it isn't that big of a deal to me and well couldn't return them anyway. That said. The hardest part obout this was getting the sticky foam/tape that was wrapped around the plug and folded back onto the wire through those tiny damn holes. There was some kind of foam, and then a ridiculously sticky tape around it. I'm sure if I had instructions I could have taken it apart more but I magically stuck my finger through the holes and picked at it, then got some regular scissors and snipped it a hundred times, and then hung ho'd the first one (and damaged the insulation some, electrical tape to the rescue) but I got the three ports installed in the missing position. I'm annoyed I had to do this still, but glad the connectors were there. Some photos that were taken in-between curse words and grunting. Really tore up my thumb on the front, it's a metal brace thing that you stick through and it's not sharp but it's not skin friendly when you're trying to pry.
Foam/Taped end stuck in the hole
after many colorful metaphors I got it out, not sure if you can see but I damaged the ground. wrapped that in electrical tape and put it back
first port in, testing with an old 3DS in case it fries it, it didn't!
with both in. I straightened out the hole plus
The front one. It's in there, but holy crap was that one harder to get too. But I got it eventually. The hardest part was pulling it through the METAL hole which bit my thoumb
all back in, and working great
only injury

I went to pick up my 110 V8 today and it’s missing the USBs in front and second row. Nobody can plug in anything to charge except via the wireless charging station or by the tailgate where the electric plug and other port are. Also missing the soft close and sunglass holder, but I don’t care about that functionality so not making a fuss about it. However, I am having dealer add all USBs aftermarket (and the activity key and second fob will come later) in the closing paperwork as it’s in my build sheet that they signed and I put the deposit down for that specific build. New car market must have softened with interest rate increases and they’re not playing the take it or leave it approach because I’m willing to leave it.

Some really good and useful information here- I have the very same issues. Took delivery on a D90 X-Dymanic HSE- Was sort of shocked to see just 4 blanking plates where the USB/C 5v outputs should be , but JLR also short changed me on the 5v port that is in the front passenger side as well.. I also though that there were USB and the fixing in the seat backs as well.
Can someone please educate me (UK model if any difference exists ) - Some of the pictures above show climate control in the rear of the console and some down- I mean for a D90 sort of high end you'd expect some level of control even if it was just HOT/COLD but nothing- The soft close was also missing - If you were to 'aftermarket" add all these it would be well over £1500 with labour. Given we all had to suffer delays and price increases, it does leave a bitter taste. Also took delivery without the interior protection pack and mud flaps- They only had 10 months to get that ordered
