Thanks for the pictures. What’s the part number and where did you buy the USB A port for the front passenger dash port. Thanks

The hardest part obout this was getting the sticky foam/tape that was wrapped around the plug and folded back onto the wire through those tiny damn holes. There was some kind of foam, and then a ridiculously sticky tape around it. I'm sure if I had instructions I could have taken it apart more but I magically stuck my finger through the holes and picked at it, then got some regular scissors and snipped it a hundred times, and then hung ho'd the first one (and damaged the insulation some, electrical tape to the rescue) but I got the three ports installed in the missing position. I'm annoyed I had to do this still, but glad the connectors were there. Some photos that were taken in-between curse words and grunting. Really tore up my thumb on the front, it's a metal brace thing that you stick through and it's not sharp but it's not skin friendly when you're trying to pry.
Foam/Taped end stuck in the hole after many colorful metaphors I got it out, not sure if you can see but I damaged the ground. wrapped that in electrical tape and put it back first port in, testing with an old 3DS in case it fries it, it didn't! with both in. I straightened out the hole plus The front one. It's in there, but holy crap was that one harder to get too. But I got it eventually. The hardest part was pulling it through the METAL hole which bit my thoumb all back in, and working great only injury
It’s hard to tell from the myroverparts website what type of USB port the parts are compatible with. When you receive your LR128008 ports, can you confirm whether it is a USB-A or C? And whether you had success connecting to the two pre-wired holes? Thanks in advance!
The 128008 was A. I didn't catch that when I ordered, not a big deal to me as we have both cords everywhere. I doubt A charging cords will be gone before I buy another car
Can confirm in my 2023.5 110X, no USBs in rear or passenger dash area (just center console area). Wireless charging pad is there and functional. Built 8/24, delivered to dealer in November.
I collected my MY23.5 110 D250 X-Dynamic 3 weeks ago. The dealer made a special effort to alert me to this missing usb issue and provided me with a letter confirming the ports will be retrofitted when supplies are available.
Im not sure when that would be, or why I can buy them on eBay but JLR can not. But it’s encouraging to hear them confirm they will commit to fitting them for free.

Agree. But after traveling this past weekend with our brand new 110, it was unnerving to hand our only key fob to the hotel valet. Can’t wait to get the second fob.
PowerfulUK posted a video on adding USB to the passenger-side dash “shelf” location.
They remove the glove box to get to the power cable, but it looks like you could reach in through the hole with a small hook and grab it.

That seems excessive considering a few have done it on here with their bare, though scuffed up, hands. I plan to use a tool like the one pictured. I've had it sitting in my tool chest for years and think I may finally have a good use for it.
