While I'm very peeved at JLR for "nickel & diming" the {crap} out of the Defender, I just LOVE that Simon picked up a recent one. Now everyone can see how to return it to proper form. Balance in the universe! For all the contempt I have for the JLR accountants/supply chain folks, it's balanced by my admiration of the fine folks at PowerfulUk....
Picked up my defender today. It was missing the usual sunglass holder and larger screen. Those don't bother me much. The things missing that annoyed me the most were the second row usb/power outlets. All 4 of them are blanks. Does anyone know if they are pre-wired for plug and play of the OEM usb sockets I can order online.
just traded my Velar SV for the Defender 110 V8 and it’s missing all 4 outlets in the rear and the one in the front shelf. It’s also missing the clear exit monitor and like everyone else the sunglass hold
Just took delivery last week of my 130X and no USBs in dash, 2nd row, or 3rd row. No DCs in middle row, no sunglass holder or soft close rear. Clearsight was there.
Dealer said I'd have to deal with the sunglass holder and soft close missing. I was already prepared to not have soft close going from an L405 to this so that's not really a big deal to me.
As for the USB-C ports, I asked the sales rep to get with service and sure enough, they gave me this service bulletin that said they'd replace at no cost when available. On another note, they told me that they were not taking any new orders with vintage tan as it is out of stock and having SC issues.
I can confirm the above. I went to have my roof rack installed this weekend and the parts guy said there was a USB-C notice/recall on my car. He called and confirmed it is for them to install the missing ports when the parts get in, just like my key.

i had the same issue! I did call the dealership and they said they are having a shortage on usbcs. My truck is missing alot of them. Mind you I got the carpathian edition. For such an expensive truck and they are sending them out without these ports…
