Pulled into the garage. Shut engine off. Can’t tell you if everything went quiet when I exited the car. Took my fob with me, dropped it in the usual spot in the house. Went out back with the pup. After 10 minutes or so realized I left my readers in the car. Went back to the garage without my fob as I don’t lock the car in the garage. I heard voices in the garage and was reaching for the Judge. Walked to the driver door and SXM was still on. I didn’t think to look at the screen when I realized it was coming from the car. Opened the drivers door, closed it, it cycled off.

Was that a fluke? Or an indicator of worse to come? Don’t want to kill a battery……

Thoughts?

Radio will stay on for about 10 minutes unless you lock the vehicle. If you want everything to power down on exit, double lock the vehicle.

 

Thanks. Not sure why I haven’t noticed that before. Wife would say it’s because I’m a FOG……🙄

 

My radio stays on when l shut down the vehicle but turns off when l open the door to get out.

ls there a setting for it somewhere?

 

I believe the radio always shuts off, but the screen does stay on for a bit. Here’s hoping it was a fluke……

 

mine functions the same way @lightning mentioned.

i do however lock the car in the garage. the way i understand it is pivi pro updates only happen when the truck is locked. i have a wifi extender in the garage as well so it a strong signal.
