I have less than 1000 miles on my defender and out of nowhere the front and rear cameras don't work. Another issue is when im parked and the AC is working, the car idle increase from 900 to 1100 and back, it keeps doing that 5-10 times per minute.

 

Have you tried rebooting the Pivi Pro? With the car running, hold down the power button (to the right of the stereo, in the center of the volume ***) for 30 seconds until you see the Land Rover logo appear.

 

Rebooting the system resolve 100% my camera problem.

Regarding the cameras: take it into service. There is a common fault that they will repair. I had the same service and when I took it in they were able to identify the fault and fix it.

 

I am having the same issue you mentioned on the front and rear cameras - any idea on what they did to fix? have any others experienced this issue? Really hard to get in for service and I want to avoid if possible.

 

I have actually seen this idle issue before. Often a restart fixed the problem, but it was a little scary when it was near 100 degrees, I was in the middle of nowhere, and I had another person and two dogs in the car. I've not taken it to service though, so not sure what might cause it, and I haven't had it happen lately. I really think it's a high heat thing, and probably just something that needs to be tuned - maybe a module update.
