I noticed the Defender 90 is no longer available in base. Did Land Rover announce if it will ever bring it back or will the D90 be more expensive than the Base 110 from now on?

 

The US lineup needed to be simplified and roughly 85% of Defender sales are the D110. The remaining people who wanted to commit to a D90 were opting for an S trim or higher. Given that we're in a chip shortage and there was really no profit in selling a base trim (which no one seemed to want anyway) it was pulled from the portfolio. However, we did try offer more equipment in the D90 S trim as standard.

It's important to note the base car did not allow for a sunroof and other desirable features in the US market (like power seating). It's highly unlikely it will return until after the chip shortage- if at all.

The good news is that you're really better off with the S and it opens you up to options that are otherwise unavailable.
