Default Defender App: Deep Sleep problem

Yesterday, on a cold morning and having not driven for 2 days, I opened the app on my iphone to remote start the 110, and it said something along the lines of "The car is in deep sleep mode and can only be started manually from within the vehicle", which I did, successfully, but I'd not had that happen before.

I have found several people on the RR sites that had that problem a year or so ago, and with not only the app, but also the car itself wouldn't come out of deep sleep.

Anyone had this problem with their Defender?

Funny you mention... it just happened to me yesterday. I had driven the car the day before, it sat overnight in the lot of ski resort (probably in the teens overnight). I wanted to remote start, to warm it up before we got in for our trip home and got your same message "Vehicle is asleep and must be manually started". Never seen that before, especially without it sitting for a week and entering into low power, or power-saving mode. Everything started fine, but like you, I thought it was odd.

Hmm, yours too. As a check, I remote started it today, and it was fine. I wonder if it's weather related (it's warmer now, but it has been cold the last few days) but I've never had it before, even when the car was not driven for several days in winter.

In the app there is a toggle for “wake up timer”, with no explanation about what it does but I wonder if it is related?

The app is wonky. So is Guardian Mode. Had to store my Defender for a month, with a battery tender, doors locked; kept getting notifications that something was amiss - was in my locked garage, no idea what triggered it.
It also constantly shows that my fuel is low…
I have no trust in it.

I have to admit, the 'Guardian Mode' has never worked for me, nor the 'vehicle lock reminders'; the 'app is wonky' is apt.
Do these variants work in the UK/Europe?

After 3 days, the Defender goes into "Deep Sleep" and the Remote no longer works. There's a LOT of "vampire" electronics going on so it allegedly helps to prevent the battery from draining. However, if mine sites for a couple/three weeks I have to recharge the battery anyway.
