Default Help with internet, new MY22 Defender USA

Hi:

I took delivery of our special ordered MY22 Defender yesterday (in Pennsylvania, USA). Traded in a MY19 Discovery. We also have a 2020 Range Rover, so I’m pretty familiar with the brand. The Defender is great except…

The Internet doesn’t work. I’m not talking about the hotspot. I cannot connect my InControl account from the car.

The InControl registration went fine from the computer. I can see the car in the InControl website and app. The app Remote functions work fine.

But I cannot login to InControl from the car. I get “Unable to connect (015)” when Pivi Pro starts. I do not have apps, like Live, Spotify, etc.

Mobile data is turned on and I see AT&T.

I’ve reset Pivi Pro by holding the power button. I’ve signed out and in to the mobile app and website many times. I even deregistered the car and re-set it up from scratch.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello, I am in a similar situation. I am going to the dealership next week with this issue. I am not sure if you are a technical person or not, but ... would you be able to get some screen shots of the internet settings ? My vehicle appears to have the wrong config file ( for Europe ). This would be great to compare, and if it matches mine, then you may have a case which you can refer back to JLR North America.

I found this Topix article about something that sounds very applicable: SSM75340

“InControl account will not link to the profile. As a result connected services such as Spotify, Deezer and Tunein will not be available in online media.
In addition, the connected navigation services and weather application will not operate when mobile data is switched on and the 4G signal icon present.”

The suggested action is for a dealer to run the VSS app to fix it.

Not sure what that means, but I’m asking my dealer.

VSS = Vehicle Shared Secret.
I had a similar problem not being able to log into Incontrol on my F Pace and after the dealer ran the VSS update it did fix the issue. Thankfully my new D90 isn't experiencing this.

To close the loop, it was the VSS issue. Dealer did the routine and everything works as it should.
