I reached out this morning and somebody from your team responded quickly...

" To our knowledge, not many have done this on, you will have to change the ccf which is supported by the IIDTool BT G3 for your car...We will gladly assist if needed"

We had a quick exchange and i was told i will be kept in the loop if they found a verified method ...
I really hope something comes of it ..

Feel free to PM me if you know something i don't please

hi, happy to help you, I replaced the basic LED headlights with matrix LED headlights, coding with gap tool g3, fast and effective.
However, you must specify three things: are the headlights you purchased complete with electronic control units? are the headlights used? the code of the premium headlights, is it the appropriate one for your country?
if the headlights are new you will need pathfinder to download the defender coding and programming, if they are used you just need to modify ccf; your electronic control units do not work on upgraded headlights.

Thank You Marco!

Is it okay if i PM you with all this info?
Also, they are NOT the Matrix Headlights, they are the premium LEDs ...

I was hoping that if i bought the tool somebody could lead the way via facetime or whatever ... For a fee of course
I think it is not a good idea to solve such problems through FaceTime on video. Because I myself have done so several times, but only as a preliminary consultation. Because more new details are revealed after live inspection.

Default update

Okay, so a little update ..
I Decided to go to the dealer as they said they were 99% sure they would get them to work... After 2 hours and many, many questions between the dealership and the JLR engineers ...Nothing...
Finally i was told 2023.5 110 would not accept the headlights because the OEM ones i purchased on Ebay were out of a 2022 ... Very disappointing...
According to JLR, they themselves cant even put in a new set upgraded headlights in mine if i purchased them from them, only the standard headlamps that came in it ....
So they must be very limited as to what they are allowed to do internally

I don't really know where to go from here now as I'm not confident at all playing with the internal files and i haven't found anybody who knows what exact files to change..
i dont have a gap tool ..
1600$ paperweights for now i guess lol

@mmbanf If i can get somebody to help me out i may take a run at this after Christmas

hi, when were the headlights connected to your car, how did they work? Was the lighthouse working? but was it just the ring lighting that was missing? an error appeared on the car dashboard?

I’m still awaiting a way to do this as well.

I can’t for the life of me get the halos to illuminate. When I switch to Drive, the squares illuminate for 5 seconds and then turn off.

I’ve tried just about every CCF combo under the sun to get these things working, to no avail.
