Default Defender MY25 OCTA Parts

Hi All,

Just curious if anyone knows or plans to see if Defender OCTA parts will fit on MY22-MY24 110 platform?

I'd really be interested in fitting the front grill/bumper panels, front tow hook, rear bumper panel, rear exhaust on my 110! Or it may just be easier to buy the OCTA

Thanks!

The OCTA hasn't entered production yet. They'll arrive at US dealers in January. Unfortunately, most of the parts won't fit, as they are specifically designed to be compatible with the widebody, not the standard Defender. The grille won't fit either, as the OCTA has a completely different front fascia than the standard car. If you look closely, you can see that the grille is slightly narrower. The exhaust can't be swapped because it is bespoke to the BMW S63 engine. If you want the OCTA look, you're better off getting an OCTA. Good luck, as it is limited to 1000 units here in the US for the 2025MY and nearly all of them have been spoken for.

Here are a bunch of pictures I took after spending a lot of time checking out the OCTA at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

You can see how since many of the body panels are different, you won't be able to swap them out to the core Defender models.

Dang! Thanks CincyRovers for the comments and pictures. I'll stick with what I have. No need to upgrade, my Defender experience has been exceptional!

Also, great pictures/coverage you were able to take.

I would imagine JLR will want to make sure the Octa parts are not compatible with the regular Defender to avoid anyone trying to make an Octa out of a regular model. I do know there are some companies making the Octa 20” wheel but that’s about it.

I just placed my order for my Octa with my dealer - arrives in early Feb. Now I just need to sell my 2023 P400X to pay for it………

Octa isn't really a wide body, it's all in the flares and some of the lower trim pieces. Which is crap if you ask me, for the price it should have been much more than a stick on body kit. The parts will 100% be available after market and probably through Land Rover parts suppliers (likely in Europe) in time. They always seem to get their hands on them.

Also they aren't moving very well. My dealer has reached out multiple times asking if I wanted one and I'm def not their best customer. I know they haven't sold anywhere close to their full allocation. They are also having issues moving RRS SVs. Hype is over in the car world.

Off topic, but so you mean my local dealer isn't serious about their $50,000 over list demand?

You can actually buy the OCTA 20" and 22" wheels directly from Landrover.

This is not the case - the front and rear quarter panels and the rear doors are completely different to the standard car. Yes, the fenders are tacked on, but according to my friend who was on the engineering team of the OCTA, they have special connectors built into the fenders underneath the flares - they have a different manufacturing process compared to the standard ones. You will not be able to directly attach the fender flares to a standard car. Also, the fuel door is one piece of metal - the part that flares out isn't tacked on. It is quite interesting that they'd go that far to cast a completely different fuel door than to just stick on a flare.

Also the OCTA is much more than a Defender with a widebody kit. The suspension is completely different. Not only does it have the 6D Dynamic suspension that uses hydraulics in the place of the anti-roll bars, the knuckle, wishbones and bushings are exclusive to OCTA. The air springs are the same, however. OCTA also has an additional support beam/crash bar behind the front bumper, something the standard car doesn't have.

Thanks for your super critical and negative response. Each to their own.
