Default Defender P400 w/ mods Height/Clearance

I'm considering a Defender P400 (either 2020 or 2021 model) and have a question on dimensions. My garage door clearance is marginal at 82.0" high (82.75" with safety) so I'd like some confirmation of the numbers below:

Defender P400 HSE/SE = 77.4" (to top of antenna)
33" Tires = 0.5"
Johnson Rods = 1.5"
Factory Roof Rack = 2.6" (from top of antenna to top of rack)

I make that 82.0". Is that all correct? is this theory, or actually how it measures?

I'm aware we have air suspension and some headroom as long as I remember to select access height, but we all know what's likely to happen one day...

So, I did the 1.5" J rods and have 33's. If i had a rack of any kind - Factory, Thule Podium, OEM Crossbars, etc.. I would not fit under the 7' clearance in my office parking garage. I would also have trouble in a lot of retail garages here in Texas. Cure all? Use the access height when entering a garage or parking structure.

Thanks. That's odd, there must be a flaw in my numbers somewhere if you can't get under 84" with any kind of rack fitted (excluding access height of course which I believe gives us additional 1.7"?)

i have the same setup minus roof rack and have hit or miss issues with 6’9”‘garages (81”). With Johnson rods on lead everything by an inch. When I went to produce rhino rods I cleared everything by less than an inch. A few times I heard a bump and stopped and the antenna appeared to be fine. Yesterday I noticed latex paint transferred from the clearance markers. The latex paint came off and there was no damage but that tells me garages are far from perfect and there’s NO WAY it would clear with a roof rack.

Yikes! Don't want early battle scars from the garage roof, that's just plain wrong. Very helpful information from you both - thank you. I will make a change to my order and start small, probably just order the factory 32" off-road tires and build from there. It had been my intention to wrap larger tires on 19" wheels but just realized there are hardly any tire options for this size. So it's probably going to be 20" wheels and down the road I'll add 33" BFG K02 275/55/20 as folks report I can run these standard without any interference. Then I'll add the J Rods later and see if there is at least some room for the two roof cross bars. Really, I just need to accelerate the new barn project and plan the door height so I can swoop in with the roof tent fully deployed.
