The Defender/Aztek comparison is not something I ever imagined someone putting out there.

LaErNd ndRovDefeer

Nope, still don't ......

In any case, I agree introduction of the Aztek memory is excessively harsh.

Pretty sure everyone has a diff reason for buying one. In my case, I'm replacing my 1991 Final Edition Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It was (and is) a very special vehicle, and there was simply nothing else on the market that came close. I had resto-modded it to where it was about as good as a 30 yo vehicle can be, but I got tired of old car problems. The new Bronco is, in my opinion, tacky and looks cheap. I had my name on the waiting list for one early on...until it became obvious what I'd be getting, and they started limiting the options that would be available for year one. Also, because of the way they are limiting feature sets for each trim, I found it impossible to spec a model I wanted. My recent dealings with our local Ford dealership while trying to get them to fix the recalled panoramic roof on our commercial Transit van tells me everything I need to know about buying a Ford. Absolute effing nightmare. Complete bozos. The new Wagoneer is really boring and ugly, and there is no Jeep product at the moment that drives like this Defender. I've had mine now since December and absolutely love it. (BTW First vehicle I bought myself was a '66 Chevy half ton.)
