Default Defender V8 Stock Exhaust Question

So I have just changed from an SVR to V8 Defender and I love it.

But I do have an exhaust question. Unlike the SVR there is no ‘loud exhaust button’. And having to go into the drive program to then select ‘Dynamic’ to get the burbly exhaust is a bit of a faff. Is there a fuse that controls the OEM exhaust valves, or another way of keeping them permanently open?

Thanks
Craig

I don't know, but I did get the resonated MIltek exhaust for mine and love it. When putting in dynamic mode and pulling the shifter over to sport mode, it springs forward with a roar and nimbleness that is quite exciting. I come from many exotic sports cars and DD a Tesla Plaid, so this in comparison is still astonishing in how quick it feels.

no manual way to open the valves unless you unplug the cable to the modulator but valves would be open always.

stock exhaust is pretty tame compared other LR products with the same engine

i am also running a miltek resonated and it’s a nice improvement

The only way I was able to play around with the exhaust valves was either to unplugged them or to fit the valve control module from milltek. I’ve gone for the latter and planning the exhaust upgrade early next year.

Hey Ehloo, I just purchased a 2024 110 V8 and was looking for a little bit more out the exhaust. I’m not looking for a full cat-back system or anything obnoxiously loud. Do you have any recommendations on an exhaust mod to get? I’ve been told that a resonator delete with an H-Pipe replacement is a good option. Thoughts?

i have heard oem exhaust with just resonator delete and straight pipes and it sounded much better. more volume, a bit more raw but still very civilized

if you are interested in a miltek system i have an extra system that need done. giving it away, just need to cover shipping.

so instead of replacing the resonator with an H-Pipe, replace it with a straight pipe? Is that considered “straight pipes” which is illegal or is that only if you mess with the car converter?

Giving away a miltek for free?! What’s the catch haha
