That's funny you say that.

There was a fly-fisherman there when we went for our swim. He was a super nice bloke to chat to. Was telling me all about a new technique he was trying to learn and various trails/alpine lakes he enjoys. Top tier chap. I'm looking at taking up the craft myself. It's something of a Mecca for fly-fishing round these parts and it seems to tick plenty of my nerdy boxes as well as giving me even more reason to explore our wonderful area.

I've only ever fished in the tropics really so know next to nothing about it. Sure looks fun.

At the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix "car show" portion of the event they had a special "spotlight" on LR for the 75th anniversary. Took Smurf up and low and behold....Papa Smurf was there!!! Just a neat look at new vs old

 

Overnight outing outside of Leadville, CO; still cold sleeping at 10,500 feet despite high 90s in Denver!

 

Just finished the Werner Peak Lookout Road (whitefish mountain range). Very enjoyable ! I will be sad 😞 when the state decides to fix it.

 

Hah! I was camping out Half Moon Rd last weekend enjoying the stars at night and fishing all day! Will be around one more weekend to bag a few more 14ers!
