Big difference in comfort and ride. Both extremely competent off-road. Breakfast break with Rocky - likes breakfast burritos After a first attempt to get up to Big Four Mine.
Went off-roading with the Green Oval Guild - the Ohio Land Rover owner's club over the weekend celebrating our 20th anniversary at The Wilds safari park. Years ago the club had access to the park and was allowed to off-road on-site, and sometimes would get close to the animals. Unfortunately after ownership changed, the club lost access to the trails, but we did have our anniversary lunch at the park.
We hit the service roads and trails in the surrounding area, and had a blast. Since we had a lot of beginners, we stopped for a demonstration for off-roading techniques and basic training. Trails were no more than a 3/10. Enough to have some fun, but nothing too extreme. I was worried about the low profile tires on my friend's L320 RRS, but he made it with no issues.
The turnout was great we had multiple L663s (including an OCTA), a Discovery 5, several LR3s, Discovery 2s, LR4s, Classic Defenders, Discovery 1s, an L320 RRS, and an L405 RR.
