With just the Thule cross bars (aftermarket, not the factory option), minimal noise. With the roof box, more noise but not unpleasant, especially if the sunroof shade is closed. The crossbars are 50" and the box is 36" wide.

Exped duo sleeping pad in the back, window vents, and a little USB-C
fan fan
for cooling/condensation.

Curious to hear the story.

Oh, it’s actually just for GT Silver (gtsilver944 on rennlist). Painted my beater 944 that color in maybe 2005, when that color was new for the Carrera GT. Not a special car but still does pretty well at autocross despite the lack of power after 300,000+ miles. Just ordered a 718T after I couldn’t get a GTS/GT4 allocation, FWIW.

Nice! I have had two GT Silver Porsches: 2004 Boxster 550 and 2015 911 GTS. The best silver ever.

I read that 718T, along with GT4/Spyder and possibly GTS are being closed down with MY2023; 2024 718s will be either Base, S, GT4RS or Spyder RS. Is that your understanding as well?

I have a 2016 GT4 that I believe is a keeper. I wasn't tempted to move to 718 version one bit, but then I only have 18,000 miles at this point. A few upgrades to make it a little more fun.

This almost made me come off the road. I had to follow it into the parking lot.

Why.

To each their own, but that is horrendous.

Other than the sadly depressing 22" Escalade rims, I like the silver accents. Which paint color is that?

I'm pretty sure it's either silicone silver with a clear gloss wrap of some sort or the whole thing is a wrap because I've never seen something shine so damn much.

Thread change, "Defenders in Captivity".

Wth is this doing in Manhattan? You can almost hear it crying out for help from its incredibly ironic pastel green cage.

I still think that 2016 is the best year for the GT4 so epic!
