Distance To Empty estimate missing
I have a 23 defender with the analog cluster. The instrument cluster used to show a "distance to empty" estimate on the top banner, opposite the odometer, but its disappeared recently and I'm not sure how to get it back. I don't recall making any changes to the layout so a bit confused.Any suggestions?

I ran mine down to 6 miles about three hours ago, on the way to our mountain cabin. There’s this one station on the way that only charges +$.60 for 93 octane (what I have to user in the Defender since the choices are 87/89/93 in Atlanta) and I was holding out for it; started regretting all the stations I passed up between “40 miles to go” and “6 miles to go.” But… don’t get me started on the people that advertise this super competitive 87 octane price, but now that so many vehicles are 2.0 liter turbos requiring 91 or greater, they jack the good stuff up a huge amount since they don’t have to post the price on their sign.
Yesterday in Atlanta, no joke, I pulled into a station that advertised $2.99. Rolled up to the pump and checked the 93: $4.49! A buck-fiddy! Pulled right back out. That’s why I almost ran out today, so I could get it for $3.49 in rural north-Georgia.
And yeah, push the stalk, scroll through your options.

You could try an app named GasBuddy. It consistently shows me the least expensive premium gas near me.
There are "deals" you can signup for...I haven't and just find the lowest cost worth driving to. Tap 'Find Gas'.

I have had the same problem and it bothered me because it would randomly disappear, I couldn’t figure out why, and I wanted it to stay on. Since the model was so new no one seemed to know the answer and I’ve been waiting for someone to mention it online. Thank you!

what's the longest any of you drive on 0 miles? I've gone 10 miles and that was too nerve racking given the gas guzzling here(went to 55mph on the freeway.) I assume we have a .5 gallon of reserve once we hit 0?
I drive across the country non stop so I've hit 0 quit a few times, but its because sometimes you go 60+ miles without any gas stations when you're in the middle of nowhere

Thanks for sharing. I had heard about them before, but never tried it. Just loaded up the app (thankfully you can sign up with google or apple id) and searched nearby. Found one like a $0.60 cheaper per gallon versus my normal station and only 1.5 miles away. Those pennies do add up!
