Default Instrument Cluster

Where is the mileage stored. Is it in the cluster or the computer ? I scratched the clear plastic on the front shield installing led’s wondering if I just can replace that piece or I have to purchase the whole cluster. Thanks.

Cluster can be torn down into multiple pieces. If you're talking about the very outer clear part which covers all the gauges = yes you can simply swap it. Mileage is stored in both the BCU and cluster.

My LED odemeter display is totally melted and unreadable. Can I swap that out as well?

If you can get a used cluster with lower mileage then all you have to do is SYNC it to the BCU.

Not sure I know the Nanocom does it for sure (haven't used the iLand unit).

If RoverMasterTech chimes in it'll either require a 20.00 scanner or just a battery disconnect for what it's worth
