Default Do L405 Rear Shocks work on L663? (Lucky8 website question)

The blokes at Lucky 8 seem to be selling a good alternative to genuine rear shocks (Dunlop) for the L663 for around $500 ($558 on their site, $458 on ebay per side).

I realized that part #’s is for L405 Range Rover shocks though. It doesn’t appear to be an error as I see this on multiple listings.

Is this is a known compatibility / substitution?

L663 110 I-6 (my car)
Rear LH Shock - LR132722 —> LR140076
Rear RH Shock LR132713 —> LR140075

What they are selling (L405 part #’s) as fits our cars
LR098788
LR098795

Following. Mine had the loose shock banging around. I had them tighten the bolt and it seems to be doing alright. That was around a year ago.

That’s interesting. Hadn’t thought I might just tighten up the bolt. Mine is rattling around (left rear).

while I was waiting for OEM replacements and wasn’t sure of the timeline from JLR, I did buy a set from Lucky8. Still for sale if anyone is interested: https://landroverforums.com/forum/market/126204

Hmm interesting, I’d potentially buy them (rather have new ones!) -- if I could find someone to confirm they’d fit. Getting a reply from L8 hasn’t worked for me yet lol.

... Quite the mystery really.

In the meantime I found a used shock on ebay from a flood damaged P400 in Florida 2024 with 4000 miles on it, for $275 -- a cracking deal -- so my plan is swapping that in. But I’d rather buy new and yours do look interesting, just not sure about swapping one side in with an L405 part that may have different damping rates, etc. Seems odd. I could swap both but that means taking out the other side of the back interior, which for me is a no right now.
