But, it's my first JLR product. I'm hoping I waited long enough (35 years in US, or whatever it is) for them to get the bugs out.
Yeah... that was a joke.

I'm not sure GM's stewardship of foreign car companies in the US has gone all that well for the "bought"; thinking of Saab, Isuzu (I guess that was just a majority ownership stake?) Opel, I think all three are gone from the US now, if not gone entirely from the planet.

i have an old T-Shirt. I was a fan of apple when it was doomed.
It's great press to write an article about how doomed someone is that has a 100 year old fan base. They didn't show anything compelling, it's not like the RR is not selling, or the Defender is a big flop. is Tata not happy with them and doing some 'for sale' with the bad press? who knows.
I don't think LR is doomed just yet, Jaguar? maybe, i mean I'm a bit of a car nut and I can't tell you what Jag makes other than the I-Pace only because I like EVs.

I have to agree. GM and LR coming together and making a baby might not be what LR needs right now.

You just cannot rely on CR articles. Their research is based on their subscriber vehicles. How many CR subscribers are there? If you read other reports, GM suv's are very reliable and can easily accumulate over 200k miles without any serious issues. CR has no credibility in my humble opinion, not even for their washer and dryer testing.

my 2009 escalade hybrid(first year) had 195,000 miles when I traded it for the new 2015i escalade platinum, now with 295,000 miles before the engine gave out.
