Driver Seat Rail Extension Inquiry – 2024 Defender 90
Hi everyone,
I’m the proud owner of a *2024 Land Rover Defender 90*, and I’ve run into a bit of a comfort issue. I’m fairly tall (183 cm / 6 feet), and I’ve noticed that the *driver’s seat doesn’t slide back far enough* for a relaxed driving position.
I’m reaching out to see if *anyone here has come across a seat rail extension* or any other approved modification that would allow the seat to move further back. Safe and comfortable driving posture is really important to me, and a solution to this would make a huge difference.
If you’ve installed one, know of a product, or have any advice or insight, I’d greatly appreciate your input—especially regarding *compatibility with the 2024 Defender 90*.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,

Best regards,
Can't say that I've seen any rail extenders for the Defender. I will say that I'm 6'6" tall, mostly legs and find the drivers' seat of my 110 very comfortable, with my left leg just barely not able to straighten out on the dead pedal. Does the 90 not have the same legroom for the driver?
The 90 has the same legroom as the 110, but I personally don’t feel comfortable driving it because my leg isn’t fully extended. This makes driving quite frustrating. I’m looking for a solution to improve my seating position, whether through seat adjustments or accessories that help with legroom.
I am 6.1 and have zero issues. It is the seating position for these cars and designed that way so that you can have a commanding view when driving. They are not race cars.
You may want to seek the advice of a race car shop or a bodyshop in your area and see if they can modify the seat base for you, and perhaps put a different seat in it, but this would compromise the safety of the vehicle. I would not recommend it.

Def. seating position on Defender is very different from other more sporty cars. I had some time to adjust. Maybe try more comfortable seating position (between desk chair and lounge chair seating) than sport car style fully extended leg style.
