Default driving height

Hi All,

Is there a way to lower the driving height? I think the defender 90 looks great (for street use) at the access height level. Is there anyway to keep this level while driving? It's purely asethetics.

There is no way you can do this unless you purchase a GAP tool or an X-Lifter, which will allow you to adjust height levels on the move and beyond the factory levels.

I will say driving in access height will negatively effect ride quality, especially at higher speeds.

Yeah I def dont care to affect ride quality... I will just add KO2 tires all around. You think the added tread will read as less gap ?

It will not - larger diameter tires will have no effect on the ride height sensors and they will not adjust to make up for the larger diameter.

The maximum diameter you can fit without mods is 32.6".

I know they wont adjust.. I am just saying , the substantial tread may make the gap appear smaller?

Second what CincyRovers said. I would not mess with the ride height. Not only will it affect the ride quality, it may also void your warranty for drivetrain related issues. Not advisable.

Not at all. This is my OEM 32" tire compared to the 32.5" tire I currently run.

Definitely recommend xLifter or Gap Tool. I drive in Dynamic Mode at -25mm ride height w/ my xLifter on the freeway - Love it!
