Driving info collection without permission - how to stop?
... It may be tolerated in the EU, but in the US, I think you'd be toast as a company if you did it. If a bank (for example) shared your online purchase history with a physical retail store, you can imagine how a retailer (like REI or Walmart) may be interested may be interested to know consumer preferences for purchases...

LOL...I am laughing but this is not to be taken as a joke. This is a very serious development and will cause "Fords" in this case to be reporting to law enforcement agencies speeding vehicles. Will they invent detectors to alert folks to the presence of Ford vehicles? Can you imagine the false reports these vehicles can transmit? We do live in an ever increasing monitored world! When and where will it stop....Life was so much simpler and easier in the analog world!

Mike Valentine, owner of V1 and inventor of the radar detector is a member of my local Porsche Club of America chapter. I heard that there are new detectors in the works. Hard to beat the V1 as it is.
