Dumb question here from a LR new owner. Are all Defenders made without carpet?

Rubber floors wash out nice and easy. I think they are a great idea.

Another way to find out which options came with your car is to look at the window sticker. They will probably ship them to you if they are not in the back of the car.
That was some great advice.
Thank you again.

I had them send me the window sticker/ build sheet prior to purchase.
I dug through that info this morning.

Sure enough it had them at one point, or it was listed on the build sheet that it had Carpet mats.

Contacted the Dealer this morning.
They indicated they were going to take care of it and have some shipped to me.

I am not sure which mats those are shown listed on the build sheet.
But I was looking at ordering this last night when I was researching different LR mats.

Thanks again!

You are quite welcome! Glad your dealer is shipping them out to you.

It happens... Last time my Defender was at the dealer, they gave me a brand new Discovery as a loaner for one day. I only needed it to pick up my wife from the airport that day and would only put 9 total miles on it. They had cleared it with the buyer and were knocking $500 off the price for him. I'm a long time JLR customer and they trusted me to be careful... anyways, there was a big box in back with rubber and carpets floormats. Musta been like $1,500 in mats. I had to put it in garage so much wife's suitcase would fit. When I returned the car the next day I had forgotten to put the box of mats back in. A couple days later I took the box to the dealer and apologized profusely. They were very unconcerned. Said car had been picked up and told me they'd just put the mats in a closet somewhere. I offered to deliver them to the buyer. The dealer was verrry unconcerned about it and was like "nah, if they want the mats, they'll call us." I don't know if the buyer ever got the mats! I felt horrible thinking that some Disco buyer is out there not knowing he didn't get his mats.

Funnily enough, the mats were an optional extra on my old D5. IIRC, the window sticker said the mats were $695. Now those were the "premium" rubber mats, which were the only mats available. It also included a cargo floor mat.

For those looking to add or upgrade their mats over the carpet mats that are standard, I went with these by TUXMATS. I have always added mats to all my vehicles in the interest of keeping them clean, and keeping resale value up. For many years have used Weathertech for their utility, but wanted something more appealing for the Defender. They are waterproof, have high rising edges to keep scuffs of the trim, are padded to add to the comfort level(I usually drive barefoot), and they enhance the overall look of the interior.

Did you check under the rear floor in the load space? I found mine folded in there.

Thanks !
I did look there.
‘I didn’t see anything in there.
Nothing that looked like it might have mats inside.
Just see foam and spare tire tools like the jack.
