Electric swishing sound
Situation: I’ve been enjoying driving (i.e., running-in/breaking-in) my new 90X. I’ve noticed an electric “swishing” noise when I step off the brakes and step on the gas (such as at an intersection). The noise appears to originate from the dash, the gear shifter (?).
Questions: Have others heard this noise in their Defender? Is this normal?
Thanks in advance for you members’ feedback.

I agree this may be it. If you have the window down, you would hear it activating towards the rear of the car in the rear wheels (there is an electric actuator motor I believe in each brake caliper in the back).
The top of the instrument cluster should show "HOLD" in green letters when the auto brake hold feature is on btw. So if you hear the noise when the light goes on and off, that's a good way to tell.
Pics of your 90 for us to drool over?

Thanks for feedback. It isn’t the Auto Hold. I turned that off as the vehicle stumbled or was jerky on take-off when I had it activated.
Based on your feedback, appears a trip to the dealership is required.

Update: Went to the dealership, Budds’ Imported Vehicles and the Sales Rep rode with me to observe and hear the swishing sound. He confirmed the sound is normal and associated with the start/stop function.
The start/stop sound is so different from my other vehicle, a 911. I assume an automatic transmission coupled with an electric super charger are bound to have a different sound. Relieved.
Thanks all who provided guidance.
