Will the GAP tool turn off that idiot fake engine noise they pipe into the cabin of the V8?

Yes. Change the following two parameters to “not fitted”. Let the car sleep for 10-15min, etc., and you’ll be good to go. I did it in my P300 and it’s worlds quieter on the freeway. It’s rather shocking just how much noise was being piped over the speakers.

2) MultiCAN-585 ActSndDesignPwrlvl

Thank you. It would cost me 600 dollars to have someone do it for me and thats about the cost of the tool. Are there instructions how to use it?

When you changed these setting did you notice if you get a fault in the whatever ECU the amplifier is attached to? I get a fault saying invalid speed signal or something similar.

That’s so strange. I did not see any faults when I did it. Am assuming you locked the car and let it go to sleep after making the changes?

Yep. It went into dealer for service, they had the battery disconnected for 5 days on top of them updating some modules so you would think that message would clear by now.

There are instructions on GAP's website to the tools abilities. The configurations can be found on this forum

Are these the correct parameters to select for the two CCFs listed?

Just to clarify from others, the faults that occurred, if any, were they clearable or did you have to revert to prior settings to clear?
