I don't know if a traffic cone would be large enough an object to trigger the emergency brakes. Don't really want to test that feature myself with anything larger, either.

autonomous emergency braking is to detect real vehicles and pedestrians plus other certified target objects AEB is not designed to detect any other objects including non-industry approved targets.
I think cones and other objects like cardboard are not identified as cars or pedestrians based upon some videos I watched. It would be interesting to know the science and logic behind the design of the emergency braking identification.
Powerfully did have a pretty funny one on a pedestrian cutout named Jim where he played around with AEB. As I said it would be interesting to know how the system identifies an object. No luck with volunteers.
