Default Faulty mhev battery

I am curious if anyone has had issues with their MHEV battery. The dealer is to replace mine under warranty, but they are out of stock and backordered. With no ETA.

I feel like the driving experience has been compromised. But maybe that’s in my head?

Is anyone dealing with similar issues with their MHEV battery?

What issues did you have with the MHEV battery to cause a replacement by the dealer? I have not heard any issues with this on Defenders so far. What year is your Defender, engine type and size and how many miles does it have?

check engine light. Went in twice, they cleared the code and sent me off. Protocol was that if it came back, it probably needed to be replaced. The code came back the day later.

2020 110 V6
44k miles

right up at the end of my warranty , so im a bit nervous here

Had mine replaced in March 2024. Mine is a MY ‘22, 110 X-Dynamic SE, P400 with ~12k miles, delivered in November ‘21. I was getting LOW BATTERY warnings on the dash display. Replaced under warranty.

I have a 2020 with almost 100k miles without having that issue. Hopefully, with the replacement, you won’t have any more issue.

Absolutely no difference after the new battery was installed.

I had my main battery replaced as faulty earlier this year.

a couple weeks ago my BECM threw a check engine light three days before my warranty expired.

the MHEV battery tested as okay though. Whew.

No problems with mine, but if the Beast sits for a few weeks without any TLC, it throws a "low battery" error. I wind up giving it the CTEK overnight and things are better in the a.m.
